More info to follow, but due to a change in my work, and with a new project I've taken on up north, I'm setting up a detailing service....just in the process of buying products, and yes im using a DA and not a Rotary...and yes Srhutch, under the bonnet too!!

Not going to be charging loads, offering either a one or two day product, with detailing as follows

Jet wash
Snow Foam
2 Bucket Method with grit guards
Lambswool Mits
Drying towels (no leathers or blades and also looking into a blower)
Bilberry Wheel cleaner
Claying
Tardis
2 stage paint correction with a DA
Wax

Lots of other services on offer, so don't shoot me down just yet, will get something more formal together soon...and in conjunction with the Forum too...

Well mostly within the M25, but as far up as Birmingham, as South as Brighton, Portsmouth etc..West as far as Bath, and East as far as Sevenoaks....so you could say 100 miles from London....

Just had to give up the full time planning job, and some of my design and build work, to give more to a development project in Newcastle. Could be a 2-3 years hard work, with little or no short term reward, but in the long term...it could be a life changing event.

But in the meantime, to pay the bills!! I love detailing so what better way to start a business!!

Was going to wish you good luck with the detailing business but you won't need it as your car detailing skills are top class.
You won't be disappointed forumites if you have Mr. Stark detail your p&j.

Well, to start off with, any detailing falls into 2 categories

You'll either need an Enhancement Detail or a Correction Detail.

I'll post up more info in the coming days, but the basic enhancement detail will be a fixed price, and then you can chose from a list of additional items, on a fixed fee basis. Some owners may clay their cars already and feel they don't need it, some may want 1 or 2 passes with a polisher for correction work, some may want a total correction detail. In addition, some people will want their wheels removed, Iron X'd and waxed etc.

I'll add more information soon....and hope many of you can find benefit from it.

Thanks guys for all your best wishes....I am keen to make this a worthy thing for us all. To be honest, not out to make loads, am more one of these people who is happy doing things that make me happy and helping others. One of my weaknesses people have said. But I'll let you guys direct me on what you think is a good price etc......

When youre all set I'll be booking you for a SE London much needed detailing of ///Molly, Stark

Look forward to meeting you guys when working on your cars.

Just considering whether to get a van or use my Z. I can fit the jet wash and the hose into the back of my car as well as the supplies I need. I'm relying on people telling me whether they have access to water and also if they have a jet wash I can use which would save me bringing mine with me.

My only main issue is a trolley jack. If people want their wheels off or not. But I may buy the wheel woollies instead, which do a great job.

Looking at website design next week...and off I go!!
