Detailed the Old X5 Today

Since the garage is reserved for the Zed and my workshop: :) the X5 has to live outside all year. Well at 8 years old and 88,000 miles clocked since I purchased her new, the old gal deserved a bit of TLC, so this mornings job was a good wash then start on the interior. Leather, trim, glass, etc. That was a good few hours to get the deep seated grime and scuffs off everything.

Then onto the outside for a partial clay, polish, speed glaze, seal and wax. Thank goodness for a PC on these vast panels. Finished with a bit of black trim cleaning. Need to Porboys the wheels, when the sun goes in.

I don't think she looks too bad:

Looking good. Are you wheels original or have they been refurbed in that time?

Never refurbed, but not original:

2 years ago I needed a new set of tyres in a few months and by chance at that time found these OEM wheels and rims on Ebay identical to mine. Brand new 6 months old and swapped out at new by a guy who upgraded on purchase. Purchased from him at less than the cost of 4 tyres (£600 all in Vs approx £900 tyres alone) and sold my part worns and old rims for £325

Ended up with a full set of new rims and Diamaris tyres for £275 plus a bit of shipping - Happy days

Cheers guys

It was the turn of the Z4 today and just have the wheels to do in the morning, so if it's dry I'll take a few shots of that too.
