Detail booked in

Hi,

I've just booked the zed in for a paint correction with Off Your Marks, been umming and ahhing over having it detailed for a while now, but after seeing the car under his light today I was pretty taken back at what it showed. The car looks pretty clean by most peoples standards, with the odd minor mark and some swirling. But under his LED torch it showed everything! The Carbon Black paint shone bright blue, almost Interlagos bright. It looked really badly swirled and there were buffer trails that I hadn't actually spotted before.

I'm dropping the car off next week and he reckons he could do a 75% correction in 1 day, or take 2/3 days and get it pretty much perfect. I'm going for the latter as I love the car and want it to look its best. I'll let you know how it goes and post some before and after pics. The guy has a great reputation with detailing, and he's a BMW fan with a totally immaculate Z3MR and a Leguna Seca Blue E46 M3.

Mrs IKZ4 thinks I'm mad, I hope she will be able to tell the difference!

Diary confusion! Paintwork correction now booked in for late May. Gives me plenty of time to take some good 'before' shots... :D

Looking forward to this one! Matt Wakefield does have a great reputation and his base isnt that far away from me :)
 
I had my car paint corrected by matt Wakefield , well worth it, bodywork is flawless now !
I try and have it detailed every year if I can , if u go regularly he will give u a discount!

Got 8 hours to kill in Manchester bit of shopping I think!!

Based in Derby but now has a great facility in London - in a car park in Knightsbridge close to Harrods and will complete detailing there too, or at your home/work........he mythe 997 Turbo in preparation for sale and pretty sure it helped seal the deal.....have been using them for about 6 years now, and always amazed at the results. :thumbsup:

Car dropped off this morning, will hopefully pick it up on Saturday, subject to the weather :D .

How did your detail go?

There's a detailing video of a 2008 carbon black MR on youtube, is this yours? If it is then it's your fault I'm coughing up for having mine done!!!! :D :D The paint looks like a mirror, totally stunning.
 
Hi yes that's my car must of been a couple of years ago now when it was in for a paint correction! Didn't even know it was on YouTube ! Looks stunning if I my say :D yes detail went ok as usual !! Matt does winter storage now which I will be booking my car into for the winter then another detail ready for the spring.
