Country flags are fine but car logos and other pics are illegal. Having said that I have drove round with the Mx Fox logo on each side of the plate on my van for years with no problem. Even the MOT station passed it every year. The police are more concerned with mis spaced number plates.

I drove around with no front plate for 8 months, dodgy plates may be an issue on a saxo or a blacked out 3 series, not so much on out Zeds

I have M6VED and M9VED on my removal vans the numbers are tweeked a bit to look more like an o, and the gaps are closed up a bit, the police have commented but no more ,i guess there will always be the odd one makes you change them are gives you a fine, but tweeked or not there is no way you can not read the number , so my thinking is unless you really take the p*ss, they arent that worried,..... I'll probably get nicked tomorrow now !!! :headbang:

Depends on who pulls you up ,
i was fined £60 for illegal spacing a few years back , should be 10cm max apparently & 2 of mine were 16 ! Tosser's
just another topic in the " reason's to leave the UK " box for me

i have never had an issue with my plates, the badge is non standard and it passed the MOT last year
