I understand the springs are lower but is it because its a pre LCI that the options on the EDC are different? Is comfort essentially Normal or are the options different entirely. I assumed it would go Comfort-Normal-Sport-Sport+? and cars without are just Normal-Sport-Sport+.
So the options were SE, M sport, adaptive, and M sport adaptive? I know the 35IS gets adaptive as standard. Its just confusing!
Not that it all matters, just non of these car companies actually make it easily identifiable and usually its through the buttons on the dash but not always.
The 991.1 for example the typical button for Porsche active suspension management (or EDC) is the little suspension button and there is 2 modes. It never used to be standard so if you has PASM the button was there. When they introduced PDCC (Porsche dynamic chassis control) which is another mode to help the heavier cars like the Targa feel like their lighter brothers with dynamic engine mounts active steering etc. This option is nearly 2.5k but for that option there is not difference in the button same suspension logo as it works in conjunction with the PSM and PASM. So its very hard to know if the car actually as it or not unless you take the wheel off then you can see the trick suspension.
In the 991.2 has PDCC written under the sus button so at least you get some kind of verification of whether the car has it or not at a quick glance!
Its all confusing unless you have the print out of the car specification.
The car in question you cant check for the Vin through the warranty portal because it must have its approved used warranty active.
