Thought I'd say a big hello.

Picking up my 07 roadster next week, can't wait :D

I've had a mk 2.5 MX5 for the last 5 years and thoroughly enjoyed it but I'm tired of the lack of grunt and refinements, so I'm really looking forward to getting to grips with the Z.

Well she's all mine, can't stop grinning :-)
Picked her up yesterday from Peterbrough and enjoyed a nice long drive back to sunny Shropshire.
After the trip she's a little mucky, so after a good rinse off I'll post some pics.

Sounds great. Bet you'll find a big difference between the MX5 and Z4

Look forward to seeing the specs and some photos

The difference in performance between the Z an MX is like night and day. The MX was great but to get anything out of it you really have to wring it's neck.
The torque of the Z is just FAB.

Which engine do you have?

I've gone for the 3.0si.
There's just no real negative, same tax as the MX, very little difference in the insurance & is anything better fuel economy.
Just the parts are more expensive.

Great choice. You'll certainly feel the difference in that massive step up

So you got it 5 hours ago and there's still no pics posted! What's the delay?

Oh....and welcome - enjoy 8) :driving:

Oakleyextreme called it. I too Am a new z4 owner, and both it and this forum are seriously enhancing my enjoyment of life. Best of good wishes!

Thought it was time for some photos, I've still not had chance to give her a spruce up yet, so I'll add some sparkly pics later :-)

They're not black, that's just my dodgey photos.
They're anthracite grey, got a nice metallic sheen when the light catches them.

Yes I'm keeping the wheels as they are, I've seen them in silver and prefer darker wheels.
Although I agree, if they were black it would have been too much.

:-)
