Deposit paid on new Z4M

I put a deposit down on a Z4M yesterday. I've had one before, and always wanted to come back. I decided to to it properly and get a AUC car with a great spec list.

Better spec than my last one, although I've had to pay more. The car has a great BMW history, with Inspection II being carried out 7k ago, and a oil service only last month, as well as new brakes all round and new front tyres.

should be good to go for the next year or so!
 
A corrado, cooper S, 325i touring, 330Ci 'vert. I sold the last M in autum 2013. I swap cars. A lot. Hopefully onto a keeper with this though!
 
My history is mainly BMW, with E30's, E36's etc in the mix. Loved the Corrado, it was a 2.0 16v, had great fun, until the head gasket went, fixed it myself, which too a fair amount of time due to me never doing it before. I struggled to time it up, eventually paid someone to do the timing, it took him a few goes, I had no hope!

Towards the end of ownership, it (corrado) seemed to lose it's spark, physically was not as fun to drive, I must have broken something.

My 2.0 16v was a much nicer, looked-after example than my VR6 was, so I loved that more. Strangely enough the head gasket went on mine at around 65k IIRC, and after the fix it needed to warm up before it would pick up cleanly... Back then (1998-2001) I thought the power as the revs crept up to 7k was untouchable! :D

Had a 1990 E30 316i after that Corrado, was only a stop gap car but I have to say I really respected that car, was always eager to go and looked great on the lowered (had sagged through age :D ) and the 15" BBS cross spokes I added 8)
 
We're the same!

My E30 316 was fantastic (as was the 318i and 2x318iS').

I did love the Corrados pick up, and it sounded great. Mine was at 140k when the gasket went, so it done a bit better than yours. Got the most attention out of all of them too. I've had builders hanging out their mates vans going past me with a massive grin and thumbs up :driving:
