I'm afraid I still don't follow. If I press dtc I get the telltale dtc icon on the dash. Upon start
up it says nothing!

If it says dtc on the dash is it off or on?

2 stage process...

Start car and all systems and safety nets are on
press the DTC Button, turns the Stability control (DSC) off, leaves the DTC (Traction control) on *
press and hold again and DTC is also turned off... and pray :)

* might be the other way around though :?

ok that makes more sense! I have the fear now, don't think I've been above 2500rpm since my drifting yesterday!

Sweet car though, just found my aux input. I thought I'd hav to fit that myself after Reading on here!

And another question........

When I lower the roof it seems to catch on the roll hoops. Not catch to prevent it just rub against it..... Is this normal?

another question... Coming home last night driving v carefully(new Car nerves) back end went a tiny bit on a roundabout. I was only crawling, plenty of tread on tyres so is it just really twitchy or is traction control off? If I press dtc it activates but then goes off when I stop start engine?

I am guessing the road was damp, Runflats plus damp road = no traction

ditch them as soon as possible and get yourself a full set of Falken 452's

I would love to say this is my final question but I'd just be making myself a liar.
So... When I press the heated rear windscreen button zilch happens. No lighting of the button no de misting of the window .... Is this just a fuse? Should I get my toolbelt and hardhat out and fix it? Take it to BMW(warranty)? Or am I being a dunce and something else has to be pressed first?

Thanks all!

sounds like a fuse to me...

just in case you dont know...

fuse box is handily located behind the glovebox... open that up and detach the hydraulic piston from the base (squeeze the tabs to release).

fuse map should be inserted on the back of the glovebox.
