DeoxIT D100L contact cleaner

Has anyone tried this contact cleaner on electrical connections? I was thinking corrosion and oxidation could be a lot of the electrical issues these cars have. Ill be trying it out soon.

In going to check which cleaner I have I discovered a bottle of Dot 4 brake fluid has leaked into the box I keep the cans/fluids in. Deep joy cleaning that up.

I've got the WD40 Contact Cleaner, it seems okay but didn't appear to remove corrosion I could see visually. The connector didn't work reliably before I sprayed it, and didn't work reliably after I sprayed it either. Cleaning it off with steel wool was more effective, but that only works on decently sized pins. Sample size of one isn't so useful!
