Dents!

Aaaagh! Left my car in Glasgow Airport car park this week for a few days and have been rewarded with two 50p sized dents on the osr wheel arch, ......furious :x

They are both circular dents and at least one of them has broken the paint

Know about dentmaster etc. But has anyone actually used one of these companies? Are they any good, and any indications of cost etc.

Any info appreciated

Oh and it cost me £48 parking charges (3days) for the privelidge of having some inconsiderate lowlife mess up my car!

Gutted - I have to park at airports and hate it - really hate it.

Taken to either driving up to say the 10th floor of Birmingham that is deserted using the valet park.

Shout aaaargh at that thought but I take my car, drop it off at departures, they inspect everything in minute detail (wheels panels, mileage interior), park it ON the airport and return it to me for less that I pay to park myself. If there were to be a hair scratch on it they are covered Vs the usual dings and trolley marks. Works for me if I have to leave it.

On dentmaster - arn't they a franchise? If so it will depend on the kill of the local agent. Personally I always use a local spray shop for a proper durable job not a disguise job, especially as you say the paint is broken.
 
My colleague's 320d SE also got scratch on the front bumper after leaving his car at airport car park. Get a coach or taxi to airport next time. The chance of getting damage to cars at those car parks is very high.
 
The paintless dent removal people can be amazing. I paid $100 about two years ago to have them fix a door ding. They came to my house and did it in my garage. Check with a local high end dealer to get a lead on who is good in your area. Also, I very much agree with previous posters about the economy and security of finding some other way to get to the airport. Not too long ago, the limited luggage capacity of a Z4 might have been a reason to find another way to catch your flight, but now with the "nickel and dime me to death" business practices of todays airlines the trunk capacity of a Z4 may be all one might want to spend.
 
:thumbsup: I had the same problem - local BMW garage £96 and dents completely removed. Have checked from all angles and the bodywork is compleytely smooth again. Apparently they use a local guy who does work for them every couple of weeks. May be worth trying your local dealer as the work comes with and supports the BMW warrrantee.
 
I feel your pain, having recently suffered the same on the NSR arch in Southampton Airport. I'd only had the car 6 weeks!

Have you sought to see if they got the knock on CCTV - you can (if they have it) usually hand this over to your insurance company to sort out...

... although, it will affect your "claims" status.

In my case, I'd managed to park in the only spot that didn't have coverage... :headbang:
 
I spend £150 return by taxi to the airport each and every time, to me that is cheaper then getting the car back damaged especially as the taxi fare can be expensed to the customer anyway ...
 
Thanks for the comments folks, will contact the local dealer to see who they use, and if no joy will try dentmaster in Rutherglen

last time the z will be left at the airport....they can ding the 626 doggy wagon all they like, might add some much needed character to it LOL

PS ever noticed that when you find the most solitary out of the way deserted area of the carpark when you come back to the car there are at least two cars parked next to you......what's that all about :tumbleweed:

Well... solitary parkers are those people that care about their car - and thus probably also about other people's cars. Parking next to one means that at least one side of your car will probably be safe. :lol:
 
Do most airport car parks require drivers to leave their car keys to them? I heard that they move cars in and out the car park everyday at Heathrow.
