Dent / Ding Repairs

Hi....I'm new to this forum.

Does anyone have experience of using any dent /ding removal companies (dentmaster, dentwizard etc etc)?

Got a couple of car park dings in my drivers side door and wondered if it was worth trying a dent repair firm, or just getting it fully repaired at a bodyshop (new door skin I imagine).

Had my Silver 2004 Z4 3.0 since August last year. Came with 108's, heated M seats, elec folding mirrors. Have stubby and clear side repeaters on order :-) Just waiting for RFT's to wear down a bit more so I can get rid of the damn things!

Deffo give a dent repair firm a go just try and find one with good reputation although most will not charge if they cannot get it perfect.

Had a ding on my front wing of my Calibra bang on the suage line and local bodyshop said they would have to fill it and spray the whole side at around £500 a good few years ago :o so i got a dent guy round and £40 later i could hardly see it unless you got really close and looked for it anyone else would not have noticed.

I'd much rather a PDR person remove a small dent than have a whole lot of work done. Not only is that most likely unnecessary, but it's also a pain when it goes wrong (wrong colour, etc)

X2

I have used a guy from dent wizard, I live near milton keynes and he was excellent, my dent was about the size of a 20p at the front of the bonnet(which was very awkward) but he removed the dent completely. He was really good but it cost me £65 which seems expensive for a small dent but it's a lot cheaper than going to a body shop and being told the normal rubbish about resprays, blah blah.

If there's painting to be done and you're keeping it a while, I'd have it done at a bodyshop. I had a scratch done by a mobile repair man years back and it looked great - except in some lights, and it's deteriorated 4 years on. Not broken, just more obvious.

And welcome to the forum, enjoy

Noticed i have picked up a ding on my passenger door :x I have been so careful always occupying two parking spaces so i dont know how it has happened - that was a joke - but i am actually going to start doing that now - well its either that or using the child spaces which i think is a little out of order!

Be interested in any recommendations you find near n.london or the Midlands.

Got mine done by the local dealer (BMW Malton Motors, Yorkshire) 2 Tesco door dings completely removed, £90.
