Dension/Grom Bluetooth unit

Hi everyone, just thought I'd see if anyone's planning to sell a Dension Gateway Pro BT or a Grom USB3. I'm looking for a unit that will do bluetooth audio, bluetooth handsfree and also let me plug in a wired iPod (either USB or 30 pin dock connector), and work with the steering wheel controls. I know it's a lot to be looking for but I think the above two units offer that capability - interested in anything else that fits the bill as well!
Cheers

Hi Ben,

Do you have an E85/E86?

I don't have one for sale, but I've just fitted a Gateway Pro BT into my E85 and it fully works with the steering wheel controls. it was a really easy install as you just plug in the harness at the back of the unit. my ipod connects to the usb using a lightning cable. I also fitted the DAB add-on and it's not perfect but not bad.

Cheers

Hi Ben,

Where abouts are you located?

I've got a GROM USB3 with BT attachment which I removed from my car. I removed it as the Bluetooth kept cutting out (I have a feeling the wiring harness needs to be replaced which can be ordered separately).

If you are local, you are more than welcome to test it and if you want it we can work something out.

Thanks,

Sharif

Hi Pav, I have an E85 (facelift if that makes a difference!). Are you pleased with the Gateway Pro?

Hi Sharif,
Which harness do you think needs replacing, the one from the Grom unit to the BMW head unit? I'm in Suffolk, so not a million miles away, and I'll be passing North London later this week.
Cheers

Hi Ben,

Yes, I think it would be the cable from the Grom unit to the 3pin and 6pin cable.

I'll drop you a PM and we can discuss further.

Many thanks,

Sharif
