Ah, so you don't have to remove the headunit at all? Did you then feed the USB/iPod connector through to the centre cubby hole?

Well mine was a bit different because I was swapping centre console trim, but yes you can do that, then just run the microphone inside the drivers door well/sill and route it wherever you like
