This enables you to connect usb sticks to the original head unit. Controls via the steering wheel controls and also displays text on the head unit.
Comes with the harness for attaching to the head unit (40 pin square pins) and also a USB extension lead so you can mount to a panel. I had mine fixed to the panel beneath the heater controls.

I had this previously on my car and now replaced the head unit

I went for the pioneer mvh-s520dab so I could do hands free phone callls

OK interesting. Did you lose some of the existing fascia then? I suppose I want the best of both worlds - keep the existing fascia and be able to play my iPhone over the speaker system and maybe have the benefit of Bluetooth too.

Replacing the head unit you need a facia adaptor.

With the dension you keep the OEM head unit and the unit can be hidden away. You can get an adapter cable for ipods, not sure about an iPhone though. I only used it for usb music
