Dension Gateway 300 or lite?

Right now I am looking at the Dension Gateway 300 (150 Euros) and the Gateway Lite (80 Euros).

I only really need USB compatibility. Don't really care about the rest.

What are your thoughts, which should I get?

The GW Lite doesn't have text display, which IMO is a must-have for such a device. Spring the extra cash and get the GW300

It does cost twice as much though... Hmmm, need to think about this.

I see in your sig that you have the 300. Are you happy with it? Do you know if it only supports 6 folders or if you can add more?

Click on the link in my sig and you can read all about my journey with it. Overall though I'm very happy.

Navigating the menus can be a little bit of a pain (and to be honest would be almost impossible without text) but I generally just let it play and hit random when I want to change to a different artist.

The CD1 to CD6 buttons don't represent folders but rather the different menu functions. I'm certain you can have as many playlists or folders as you want. I sync my USB stick using Windows Media Player 11, which arranges songs in folders by album and then artist on the stick.

Yes, the GW300 is nearly double the price of the GW Lite, but like I said I reckon it's worth it. There's something strangely satisfying about having the track info scrolling along the display ;)

Thanks for all the help! Just read through the post in your sig, very helpful. I guess I will scratch together the extra money somehow and get the 300...

No worries! I don't think you'll regret it - there are a few members here who have the GW300 fitted and are very happy with it!
