Many thanks again Phondar, yes going to be Decatted soon. I use to use Redline back in that days but over here now no one sells.
Btw how to you get by with Decatted does the DME flags ? So your using 10w-40 Redline ?

When I had the de-cat fitted the tuning boys disabled the sensor warning...apparently it’s a DME level access issue so not covered in simple apps ..

Maybe someone like Tintoverno could assist..for a modest fee he does remote install of bmw s/w on a laptop then can remotely access your car through the laptop and s/w ...

Yes I run the 10w/40 oil but it’s metal compounds content which is good for engines is not good for cats..

The 10w is a bit thick if you’re plan is to redline it from cold...

However providing you take it steady till the oil reaches 80c then it gives much better protection at the top end especially on warm days..

The only reason that oils are going now for the 5w and 0w is cold start fuel economy ..trying to keep oil pumping losses to as low as possible..that’s not necessarily in line with best protection..

Suggest you read Bimmerworld amongst others on oils ... :thumbsup:
