'Demon Snow Foam' test on Sapphire Black MC with Pics

Hey guys,

Thought I would give you guys my opinion on this budget snow foam product. I ran out of my usual 'Valet Pro Advanced PH Neutral Snow Foam' so I popped down my local Halfords and the only snow foam product they stock is 'CarPlan Demon Snow Foam'. I don't usually go for CarPlan products but thought it was worth a try. Plus it's better than using no snow foam at all, right?

Anyway I thought I would wash my Sapphire Black MC today and used the Demon Snow Foam as my pre wash. Just to give you guys an idea of the sort of thickness this product produces here are a few pics:

The foam clung really well onto the bodywork and did shift most of the dirt after leaving it dwell on there for 5 minutes. I was surprised to be honest, as I really didn't expect much from this product.

This 2 little bottle cost me £11. Great value, and you even get a little attachment that you connect to your hose pipe, but I used my pressure washer and foam lance instead which gives better coverage and results.

After I rinsed off the car and gave it a quick wash here is the result:

Hope you guys found this helpful, especially those who are new to the snow foam pre wash thing.

Interesting to know, thanks for the heads up OP if I every run out of Magifoam at the last minute I'll grab some of this to keep me going temporarily :)

That's ok guys :) It's just so easily available if you run out of your regular snow foam product and doesn't cost the world.

Does it work with a normal hose?
Yes it does. It comes with a hose adapter.

It's less thick when you use the bottle-top thing that you get with it.
but still not bad.
If you use the Demon shine as well afterwards, drying is a doddle as it makes the water sheet off really well.

Interesting, i am only using "best" Snow foam, bh-autofoam from elite.
We dont have that foam in Finland.

That kind of bottle for applying foam will be nice to buy separately.. (those who dont have access to pressure washer)..and maybe use some other product too?

I use this all the time, I did a write up on it when I first started using it. for the price you can't go wrong and it does have good results. I have to use the head it comes with as I don't have a lance that will fit me presure washer. I will have to update my washer to one that will take a snow foam lance.

Yeah it's not bad, but will get better coverage with a pressure washer. Saying that it's certainly better than nothing.

Yeah you're right, you could use that bottle to apply other products. I still can't believe for the price you get that adapter thing as well as a decent foam product.

Looks great! Love that shine 8) Definitely try and get a foam lance as its so much better, worth the investment.

I think this will be my regular product that I use aswell.

I also tried this last weekend on the DS3 - it was more than slightly brown rather than white :o

Drastically reduced the amount of elbow grease I had to use - which can only be a good thing ;)

I love the stuff, cheap and cheerful and more importantly... quick!

I know most people on here enjoy washing the car, or 'detailing', but I just find it a job that i want to get over and done with as quickly and effectively as possible!
