Demister problems

Got an issue with a non working rear screen demister

It’s not a transport mode issue as everything else is ok

I’ve checked the wires to the screen- no issues
Light illuminates on dash
Relays swapped and working
Fuses ok

Could this be an issue with the switching for the hard top prep/connection?

Has it ever worked do you know?
Not something as simple as a loose/broken connection at the screen?
Going back a few years I know, but I had a few old Fords where the tab that was soldered on the edge of the screen had come slightly adrift.
 
Possible- we have discussed that- hard to test

I think we are going to look at either continuity testing or putting a fused live feed to it-
