Deflated & disappointed at dealer "M" day

I think it's a couple of things and one is us getting older and BMW'S M cars are very grown up in driving style nowadays as it is too, I still love popping into my local dealer though for a browse as I like seeing all the nice and shiny brand new cars.

I always know what I want so I don't even go to the showroom at all. All last 6 new cars I bought were signed for in my office, did not even go in the showroom.

That has been the case with my last two 5 Series. If you are buying a new car and know the exact spec you want and have done your homework theres no point. The car should be immaculate and anything that isnt should get sorted.

I bought one from Ocean BMW in Plymouth and one from Halliwell-Jones BMW in lLlandudno. Both because they were the best deals Nationally at the time. Went just once to drive them away.

I'd rather do that than be insulted by the sales force who think you've just landed from Mars. Its funny how they can always sell ypu a new car cheaper than a second hand one, if only you sit down and have a coffee whilst giving them your full financial status !,

Also your car will still be worth almost what you paid for it in three years time. - Until 3 years later when the trends and markets seem to have taken an unexpected turn and its worth bugger all !
