Deer impact!

Daft critters deer. I've had a few jump out on me, over the years. :? Fingers crossed I've always avoided them.

Not so my son took the front wing off our old Ford Ka, after one vaulted the central crash barrier on the A38, in a successful attempt to depart the planet in style. :cry:

In the UK we tend to have perverts and streakers so underpasses aren't the best idea :)

Its never a good thing to hit anything, especially a big chunk of animal!

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't hit the deer that ran out in front of me some years back.... I swerved, skidded, hit an embankment and put my car on its roof.....

But I hope the damage isn't more than superficial bodywork, hope it gets fixed up soon!

A bloke was in the pub on Saturday trying to sell me 8 legs of venison. He wanted £150 I told him that was 2 dear :rofl:
 
Oh my God! Hopefully this looks worse than it is, modern cars these days having to be able to crumple like a bag of crisps even if you sneeze on it. Hope the insurance get it sorted pronto. They are well geared up for these occurrence as it's happening more and more these days as motorways and bypasses are built on the land these animals called home.

Just got the assessors report: bonnet, front bumper / light surround + add-on plastic bits, headlight, air con condensor, various panels respray......... just short of £4k!
 
When I had my rear impact, BMW changed my rear bumper for an M Sport one as it was pretty much the same price....the front one would look good on yours, so maybe ask the question,,,,,
 
yeah invisible i hit a deer when i had only done 300 odd miles in mine

3500 it cost,i needed new xenon lamps aswell.. broke my heart lmfao

i was pretty lucky aswell as i had the roof down, god knows what would of happened if dear came over.. luckily it bounced off the car and went into a spiral and hit the central reservation ( think its neck was broken ) lay at the side for 5 days, even after i phoned police as soon as i hit it

looking back the damage wasn't even that drastic, like i said i was luckily i just hit its rear end, not smack bang in centre of the car :thumbsdown:
