Collecting from Swansea today before driving back to Sheffield - be keen to hear any route suggestions to help maximise the first drive experience :thumbsup:
 
Depends how much time you have but the A4069 is a must and sort of en route, then I'd nip up through Lampeter up to Aberystwyth then the A44 to LLangurig, join the A470 and your'e pointing in the right direction for home. :driving:
 
On number 27 you must have already visited most of the UK!

I'd get on the A487 at Aberystwyth and head up to the mach loop, stunning road, scenery and if you get lucky might see some jets come through the loop

Thanks for the suggestion I made it up the A4069 and as far North as Builth Wells before cutting across to Strensham services via Ledbury.

The A4069 is a great road evident by the number of motorbikes and exotic cars I saw - just a shame about the average speed cameras :thumbsup:

I know what you mean - I feel the same way reading the threads from people trying to turn Z3’s into something they were never meant to be. But I just bite my lip and swipe on by :wink:

Pretty much all four corners of the UK but you know what they say - always worth travelling for the right car, or in my case the next one and it usually makes for a good day out :rofl:

With rain forecast this afternoon and the car booked in with Sytner Sheffield on Wednesday for the Vanos bolt recall we decided to get out for a quick run to Chatsworth. Stopped off at the Pavilion Cafe in Baslow for a very agreeable cheese & ham toasties :thumbsup:

Which engine? That’s what I’m now looking for, similar spec etc.

What are your comments on going from an E85 to E89 please :thumbsup:
 
The 30i has the same N52 as the 3.0Si facelift E85/86 - it's a great engine.
 
Collected the car from Sytner Sheffield earlier today after they completed the Vanos bolt recall so it's all ready to go for the Easter Weekend - all we need now is the weather :thumbsup:

Another short lived relationship - waved goodbye this afternoon as a young lad from Oxford drove off in the E89 as a replacement for his 1.2 Polo. Reckon he'll be very happy :thumbsup: 20250421_145306.jpg
