Bought myself a "new to me " car this weekend - always been a ford fan - this one is a 2012 Focus Titanium Estate 2.0 TDCi in candy red metallic - been looking for this particular model for some time - imo a nice looking car and of useful size - this one owned by a fussy old git like me and is in mint condition with low miles - we are keeping our Fiesta too as Mrs Gov can reverse it without hitting anything

We will now have 3 cars so perhaps now is the time to let the zed go - am considering putting it on here again - because of it's exceptionally low mileage ( 30k ) and exceptional original condition I would be looking for £6500 but I can already hear the usual comments ie wishful thinking mate / you're in to Si money mate/ you can buy a 2004 3.0SE for half that :x Trawling AT there is nothing nationally advertised with that mileage or I suspect in original mint condition - anyway I'll think on !

You do this every year mate!!

Just own up to yourself. You love it keep and make some room on the drive and enjoy the car

Yes you are right MM - had the car nearly 4 years and keep dithering about letting it go - it's kept in the garage - used occasionally and each year the mileage makes it even rarer - reckon it will still be there when I snuff it !

Will you actually do it this time?
Sorry to see you go, hope it stays on the forum.

Cheers mate - perhaps I should join the Focus Owners Club ( FOC ) affiliated to WVM ( White Van Man )

Mrs Gov ,bless her, is always telling me what a waste of money it is keeping the zed - thing is I don't need the money and can afford to just leave it where it is so what does it matter ?

Tell Mrs Gov that it's not really loosing money where it is, not like the Fords will

Strangely, i'm concurring with fred on this one. Convince mrs gov that it's an investment and when it does eventually come time to cash in the chips, either via u kicking it or getting rid of the zed, that she'll be quids-in either way!

Don't listen to all the crap as to what it's worth. There are plenty of well used z4 out there and very few mint low mileage ones.At £6.5 k yours is a bargin. Its a case of letting your good lady to reverse the focus and sell the fiesta or sell the z4 .I would be giving or getting some reverse lessons for the good lady.
If you are going to sell i would wait untill the end of March .

Surely a Focus of that age has parking sensors on the rear!

Just teach Mrs Gov to stop when they beep and/or get her to a hearing test if required then flog the Fiesta!

Failing that, keep all 3 - your Z4 won't be depreciating (well not like a Focus or Fiesta).

Had to laugh when I saw you said you've always liked Fords - I used to say that, but I sold my last one (a 1991 Sierra Sapphire GLSi) in 1997 as they were all driven at the wrong end by then! :headbang:
