Decent OEM replacement door mirrors

Hi All

Recently I had the nearsixde door mirror glass fall out and smash after months of wobbly behaviour. I replaced it with an item off ebay and yep youve guessed it, the thing does not quite fit right. As it sticks out a bit more than the original item it does not quite fit the contour of the mirror housing.

After looking on line for genuine BMW mirror glass and nearly falling over at the price - £110 plus each side I thought I would hit the forum to see if anyone on here has had better luck than me finding a half decent OEM style replacement.

The mirrors look like the heated version and the car is a 2007 3.0 SI e86 coupe - any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Mine fell out too, got new aftermarket E85 ones from eBay that were incorrect, so they said I could keep it and they refunded me.
I ended up just getting a stick on set from Halfords, very good value.
The bmw ones come with and mouldings and elements I understand, pushing the price up.
There are some on eBay I think Ghen had a set.

My mirrors are just glass they are heated by a pad that the glass is stuck on. One side fell out followed by the other a few weeks later. I think mine came from Amazon.

Official BMW price for mine is £300+ for a genuine, heated, auto-dimming, aspherical mirror 🤯 so I assume your’s are not auto-dimming.

Bot of course that’s for the mirror and frame/heating electronics. If you could replace the bare glass then it would be considerably cheaper, but BMW never think that way (for example, BMW’s solution to a sticking £10 brake bleed nipple us a £1000 caliper).

Luckily I’ve never needed one 🤞

I had the offside fall off, glass came unstuck from the backing plate. Naturally on a run 250 miles from home.

The local Halfords had Halfords Standard Stick On Mirror Glass SR805 in stock for £7.29 which I stuck back on in the premier inn car park, and in all honestly have forgotten about since. Correct shape, heated pad still works fine. I think the glass possibly sits a fraction further off the backing plate than the genuine glass but unless you really start looking closely at it I don't notice.

I think Halfords do the whole plate & glass as replacement, and it's more like £30 but I've never managed to find it in stock anywhere.

Looks like the nearside is SR806.
