Debadging

On my E89 I had the Z4 badge on the boot removed before I picked up the car. It looks so much better without. For some reason it make the car look wider at the rear since your eye is now drawn outward to the rear lights.

Just my opinion, but I've always thought that the Z4 badge on the E89 looks like a daft afterthought. - way too high on the bootlid.

They now have the little M badge on the wings, too.

Ooooh gonna get some of these, just to piss the 'M snobs' on here off :fuelfire:

And await to see your car on most car forums for having that badge on it.

My biggest issue with ///M badges is people putting them on non m sport versions and the folk with 318s who stick a M3 badge on it. Don't actually know what they are doing, it just makes other dicks on the road think I'll have a go at taking that. I tend to attract more vehicles attached to the bumper trying to push me on when there is a lane to the right of me when I'm in my Dads M3 than any other car I've driven.

However the small M badges look slightly out of place and slightly off.

Looking at those side pics, wip em off!

That script is way too long. Just needs STI on the end.

Had the afternoon off, so I nicked the wife's hairdryer and whipped them off, side and rear.

Pleased with the cleaner look. Surprising what a difference a small thing makes.

Yep, looks good. I remember saying the same exact thing when I took my badges off the wings

Grabbed some better shots of the post badge look early this evening as the light was good.

Never thought about taking the badges off, put seeing the before and after pics, the without pics seem to lengthen the front of the car,
I suppose the badge catches the eye and foreshortens the wings.
Plus they are a pain to clean around!
Certainly since fitting the lci side indicators, the eye is drawn along the chrome strip only to bump into the badge.
