Debadging

Just wanted to double check that there is no issue with this regarding the paint underneath?

Just heat up with a hair drier, or soak with hot water and then dental floss behind it?

Worked on past 2 cars, want to check BMW don't put theirs on any differently.

Can't see why they would, but worth asking.

Removing the M Badge from the rear, looks a bit cluttered with the new plate on.

M Badge is on the wrong side as well. Very odd. BMW approved car originally and no HPI on it. Must have been debadged before or a rear respray. :wink: Paint looks oem though

No issues. Hairdryer and some dental floss to saw through. Use glue remover to clear off the sticky residue (i would use a product like Tardis)

I did this this afternoon:
Dental floss to take the badges off,
then peeled off the rest of the adhesive,
then rub over with thinners to remove any stubborn bits,
a quick rub over withT-Cut,
and finshed off with Autoglym SRP,
And you will never know the badges were ever there
Always liked the De-badged look so well worth doing

That maybe but it got the crud off that was sitting in the nook and crannies were the badges were

Was very carefull with mine but did leave tiny pin marks most people would never notice them but i know they are there

Debadged the Z today after reading this thread and similar ones.

Used dental floss and a bit of WD40 to clean off the remaining sticky stuff. Gave the areas a quick wash and wax after.

Debated this for a while, but the difference is great. (rubbish photos, sorry)

All I need to do now if find some way of blanking out the keyhole on the right.
Anyone know of anything you can buy to get sprayed and stick in there?

Before starting, clean the gap between badge and body with a small, soft brush and very soapy water. Little bits of grit can lodge in there and make big paint scratches whilst flossing. Use more soapy water during flossing as extra insurance.

Mine has no badge on the boot either, thought it was normal :|
