Dealers :(

Ah I see your predicament mate - I'm in a similar position - had my zed for over 3 years - my wife has never driven it and has hardly ever even sat in it - TBF though she finds it too low and difficult to get in and out - see's it as a waste generally . On the other hand she loves our Fiesta which we both use as a DD . We also have the old vw campervan which she loves - had this for nearly 10 years - thought many times that I would sell it and perhaps get a modern 4X4 but she would divorce me if I did this !

Have to say though Tim - you sound as fussy as me about cars - if you bought a new city car you would be just as paranoid about parking it and trying to keep it pristine - our Fiesta is 12 years old - had it from new - and it still looks a minter even after 74k miles .

I'm surprised but pleased for you that the Z3 has such a good trade in value and the M140i sounds awesome - wouldn't mind seeing a few pics of this - anyway good luck with whatever you do :D

Many thanks, I think different people view cars in different ways and just don't get the appeal of cars like the Z3/4, they just see them as impracticable and friverlous  I've owned the Z3 some 8 years now and it holds some good memories, especially taking my mum out who was in her 80s with the roof down she loved it so getting rid of the car would be especially hard as the memories are tied in with it especially as she has since passed away, knowing me if it does go it will be a very quick snap decision as find it easier lol, I still can't get around possibly trading in against a Hyundai though it just doesn't feel right

You're probably right, it doesn't matter what car it is I would still be pampering it and parking it miles from anyone else

My other half is really likeing the i10 and wants it in white like an ipod :headbang:

I'm not serious but my other half is  She's terrified of the M140i  even though I've tried to convince her its fine so long as its driven normally :) she doesn't like the power, she won't drive the Z3 either, too impracticable etc so wants a small city car for herself. I can't really justify running 3 cars so the Z3 may be going. In some ways I quite like the idea of a cheap runaround that I wouldn't worry so much where is parked. The Z3 even though its only the 1.9 is quite expensive to run, road tax is high due to emissions etc but it owes me nothing etc. Valuation is around 1700 trade in :o Don't know really, I've been putting the whole thing off for 12 months.

Been looking at alot of city cars but the latest Hyundai gets good reviews etc and compares well against the likes of the VW UP.

I would have thought somebody off the Zroadster forum would snap your hand off.Your Z3 is mint so deserves to go to an Z3 enthusiast not a trade sale.

For £1700 it's really not worth selling is it...?!! It'll no doubt be instant regret if you do...

I would definitely regret it and would keep it for what I would get for it trade, I just don't really have the room for 3 cars though. I may try a private sale but last time I tried that it was just a load of grief.
