Ok, so i have sussed out a potential Z through a BMW dealer, unfortunately i live outwith commuting distance of the dealer.
Sorry for the newbie questions:
Do i have to take the car back to the dealer every time there may be a problem or can this be honoured by a BMW dealer closer to home ?
How good a service through experience of all you good people in dealing with BMW do they provide and is the below worth the paper its written on ?

12 month unlimited mileage BMW Warranty
12 month BMW Roadside Assistance
12 month MOT cover
Over 120 vehicle checks
 
Hi, If you wanted some good will once you have left the dealership for some carpet interior or trim then its best to go back to the supplying dealer. If it’s because the engine has gone bang then you can take it to your local dealer under the BMW warranty to have it assessed and repaired. For me it’s been worth its weight in gold certainly for ease and payout, its not like an AA or the equivalent warranty which when push comes to shove everything is put down to wear and tear and therefore not covered.
