Yes I think so. I was referring to manufacturers new car warranties. As you say, any aftermarket warranty is just an insurance policy and they can dictate the terms. If you break any of them, they can void the warranty. My experience of aftermarket warranties (never had an AUC one) is they are not worth the paper they are written on.Isn't that only in regard to new car and/or approved used warranties though?
Any extended BMW warranty is just an insurance policy and they can put whatever terms & conditions they want in there...because you have the opportunity to review them and agree/disagree with them before making the choice to purchase it (you don't have that option with a new car/AUC warranty).
