I bought my Z as an AUC back in July last year, and was pretty disappointed to discover my MV2s were rapidly disintegrating. I paid particular attention to the wheels while inspecting the car prior to purchase, and it was some months later before I began to notice some bubbling on the inner surface of the rims where they meet with the spokes. This was mainly apparent on the rear wheels, and - to a lesser extent - the front nearside. It really took a turn for the worse recently, with quite deep pitting, and when I took the wheels off there was quite a lot more damage out of sight. I knew warranty-wise I didn't have a leg to stand on, but have managed to get BMW to approve the replacement of the three deteriorating wheels on a goodwill basis. It turns out that the fourth wheel was a new one fitted by the dealer prior to sale as an AUC, and the three others were refurbished (rather badly, as my experience has shown).
Does anyone think that I'm left in a dodgy position by only having 3 replaced? All in all, I feel that's a reasonable result, and don't want to push my luck just for the sake of it.

I explained to him that I'd spoken to the service manager about it and he still persisted with "not covered", "not covered"... etc. 
as i said above i would be smiling if i was in your shoes i have the dreaded 108s and they did a bad refurb on them when i bought the car to get rid of some corrosion on the inner rim but would not change them even my mate who works for another BMW Stealers suggested they take the set off another Z4 that was in the showroom and put them on mine but they came back with thats moving the problem to another car yet the other car had not been sold and i was keen on buying the one with the faulty wheels you would think they would have said yes to get a sale
