Dealer Prices vs what you should pay

Thanks guys, can't wait untill weds, just hope it's not raining as this will be the first time I see my car. I think I will miss the top down motoring which I loved, but I also love the look of the coupe and at least it should seem more like a different car, especially with another 70 hp :driving:

sounds nice!...the first one i looked at had the red interior, looks good.

They are due to deliver my car Weds morning, if I am happy with it i need to transfer money to their bank. When I spoke to my bank they said best to go into the bank on the day and arrange it there. I asked about transfering by online banking but they said this will take longer to clear. Just wondered how you paid for yours?

Bank transfer should clear within a few mins. Debit card is easy, just ring the garage and they'll do it there although if they pay a fee they will prefer the bank transfer route.

Yes of course I should have realised they could do the debit card over the phone. Just saw the weather forecast which is rain Weds morning ,maybe I should delay delivery untill Thursday as its ment to be dry so i can get a proper look at the car before I accept it?

I did an on-line transfer because Eastern said they couldnt take over the phone card payments for over £10k due to money laundering regulations or something? Anyway, took 3 working days to clear in the end.

So are you saying you paid when they delivered and they had to wait 3 days? Or did you have to pay in advance?

They needed cleared funds before the delivery date. Was a bit strange though, cos like the others guys here, i've always paid by card - maybe its a new thing or they were just covering themselves because it was a phone sale??

I don't think Cash is a bargaining point any more - the dealers get commission for selling credt, so they'd rather go down that route anyway.

Not having a Trade-In can help more, depending on what it is.

Oh that's strange the dealer said I wouldn't have to pay untill I took delivery and was happy with the sale, Maybe i will need to do the transfer tomorrow, I will check with dealer.

Getting really excited now and found my old Z4 brochure with detals of all the standard equipment and extras I have. I wasn't even aware of the headlight washing system untill I test drove a 3.0si on Saturday when I activated it by accident. How does it work. Also the auto windscreen wiper and headlight activation sounds a bit posh, never needed this in the past, is it just a gimick or usefull?

hehe I love the headlight washers....get someone else to activate the windscreen washers while you look at your headlights (lights on)...these little guns come out of the bumper and shoot at the lights!.....its sooooo james bond!

I'm looking at dealer prices for 3.0si Sport Coupes and 58/09 plates seem to be around £24,000, Parkers Guide says a franchise dealer should be around £20,000. If I went in with cash what do you think I should be paying? How much should I expect a dealer to knock off?
