DEAD ZED

For the sake of £50, I would get a Ctek charger and put it on if you are leaving a week or so. My 330 has just gone a month without charging and it has been fine. When the cold weather comes, it will be half that before the battery starts playing up.

Also, if you keep moving the car about and only do short runs, it doesn't take long to kill a battery these days.

Was having similar issues recently. Dash lights on but nothing happened when the starter was engaged. 2nd or third attempt it would start. It would recharge but only last a few days if not used.
Ended up changing the battery. Cheap ones are available, but, if you're a member, take a look at the RAC. They will test your battery and do a residual current discharge test. Discounts available and fitted on your drive.

Had the car about a month but it's not a daily, so not used an awful lot.

I looked online but then checked a local place called FRENCO?? a car parts company.

They had a Bosch battery at £70. So I went and got one.

Changed battery over, started first time but then I guess a full battery would mask any other underlying issues?

Anyway, started a second time and went for a half hour drive :driving: No issues yet but I'm guessing if it's anything else, only time will tell.

Edit: If it was the alternator, wouldn't the car have cut out while out driving?

Next time you drive it switch the lights on, if it"s the alternator it will show up. Quick power drain
