Dead Pixels

I've tried to search for this problem but I'm not getting any results.
I'm astonished that this hasn't happened to anyone else so if anyone can help I would be greatful
1 whole vertical line of the pixels on my radio display have failed :(
It's massively frustrating and hoped there was an easier (Cheaper) fix than simply replacing the unit.

First I've heard if it. Was a problem on E39 instrument clusters. There was a company fixing them, they might be able to help. Either that or keep an eye out on eBay for a replacement unit.

Thanks Srhutch, if I'm honest with myself I'm on eBay too much.
There are replacement units on all the time, I've just no real desire to spend £150 on one. There is however a guy selling a 'How to fix your display' instruction,I've asked him a few questions but had no response so I'm not keen to give him my cash.

Those instructions are normally just documenting what you can find for yourself. Look on youtube. I was looking at the "how to fix an Xbox red ring of death" instructions on fleabay then found it on youtube.

If you're brave, you could take out the head unit, take the lid off and see if there is an OEM part number on the LCD panel. If it was on a moving part I'd suggest reseating all the ribbon cables that run to it, but I doubt that would work
