I'd not used my car for ten days as I've been WFH on training, come to go to work this morning and the battery was flat - not totally unexpected to be honest. I searched the house, the loft, my shed, multiple times but couldn't find my charger. Then i remembered its in a box under my bed... the obvious place...
Anyhow in the meantime I ordered a new battery from Euro Car Parts, order placed at 7.30 this morning, it turned up 45 minutes later! I was only just late for work.
But what nearly caused me grief was that the battery clamp (the long one on the strap that goes across the battery) was rusted solid at the bottom and would not shift. I had to break if off with my impact driver and a socket.
I now need to look for an alternative way to keep the battery secure.
oh well, the fun of old cars.
