Anyone any idea of the ballpark cost to revert my 35i back to stock power…?

I ‘think’ it has an MHD flash to around 380 ish. 🧐
 
I believe you would need an MHD licence.

Also you can send your VIN to MHD, and they should be able to confirm if they've mapped your car before.

Out of interest, why are you taking it back to stock power? Selling it?
 
Either a good BMW indy or BMW can reflash it back to stock..about an hour of labour i guess

MHD as said its VIN locked so you'll need at least a basic MHD licence come what may.

I have a friend who tunes N54s (over a 1,000 now) ..he's written his own flasher which may be cheaper..I'll know more tonight but you'll need an android phone, suitable dongle and the where withal lto fly it..

No not selling, it’s my winter old smoker on 126k miles, it’s just too savage for a manual car. I like to use the rev range, it’s very responsive which I like but any decent throttle has it squirming, firing off into oblivion, and as a winter car that’s not ideal, it’s a bit all or nothing so I want to try it stock. It’s got some nice chassis mods, coil overs, roll bars, bushes, M3 bits etc, which really help rein it in, needs a quaife diff ideally too.
 
My friend has given me a copy of my 35is stock tune which you can reflash to yours..

But if you want something tamer then get a bmw indy to reflash it to stock ..
 
Sounds like you need to get some smaller wheels and a set of chunky all terrain tyres. Z4 Safari?
 
The other issue is that someone in mhd could have set throttle sensitivity and lag to be really sharp and fast…that will make the car more tricky to drive..
 
Throttle sensitivity is very sharp which I like, especially in sport.

Cars not tricky, i simply want to use more of the throttle and build power progressively rather than have it all far too early.
 
Cash in and sell it as N54 and manual are rare and sought after if it’s not your thing it definitely is someone else’s…
Firing off into oblivion is a reason to have it 😂
