Either a good BMW indy or BMW can reflash it back to stock..about an hour of labour i guess
MHD as said its VIN locked so you'll need at least a basic MHD licence come what may.
I have a friend who tunes N54s (over a 1,000 now) ..he's written his own flasher which may be cheaper..I'll know more tonight but you'll need an android phone, suitable dongle and the where withal lto fly it..
No not selling, it’s my winter old smoker on 126k miles, it’s just too savage for a manual car. I like to use the rev range, it’s very responsive which I like but any decent throttle has it squirming, firing off into oblivion, and as a winter car that’s not ideal, it’s a bit all or nothing so I want to try it stock. It’s got some nice chassis mods, coil overs, roll bars, bushes, M3 bits etc, which really help rein it in, needs a quaife diff ideally too.
The other issue is that someone in mhd could have set throttle sensitivity and lag to be really sharp and fast…that will make the car more tricky to drive..
Cash in and sell it as N54 and manual are rare and sought after if it’s not your thing it definitely is someone else’s…
