De-ginger help please!!! :/

I changed my side lights a few weeks ago from :

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360478737262?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

They are OEM and you can use your existing BMW emblem , it is easy to replace it and there is a how to (i have it on .pdf i think).
The only negative is that they come from US so it took some time to arrive in Cyprus and I also had to pay a custom fee as they came outside EU. However, I could not find any within EU.

I am interested for the headlights as well as this will complete my de-gingering project as I could not find anything up to now except from aftermarket ones. If anyone can help us I am interested as well

Another thumbs up for clear headlights however....

This week I purchased a standard rear set of lights and standard site repeaters. Tonight I have just finished tint spraying the side repeaters in a smoke tint and have prepared the rear lights for spraying tomorrow.

There an awesome looking Zed on this forum who tint sprayed just the dots on his rear lights and that looked awesome. I am doing the exact same think and will fit to my Black Z4.

Once I have finished and installed I will upload some pics.

I thought I would go opposite to clear as parts are easier to come by or use your existing ones and if it looks good I will attempt to split my headlights and tint spray the orange bit!

Im not a gingerist or anything ;-)

Tinted side and tail lights look better at light color cars I believe, I saw a sterling grey here that tinted them and looked great. However, I believe they will not be as good on a dark color car as mine

Just done mine again, as I wanted to add a diffuser to the angel eyes.... Just refitted to the car again and will leave for a few days to test for misting....

If you're looking for someone to do it for you, I searched around a couple of years back and couldn't find anyone in Europe - only guy was Eric at tetrakarbon in California. Cost was quite reasonable(given the quality of work) but you have to pay import duty n your own headlights when they return!!

I read about Eric at tetrakarbon as well somewhere recently. Do you know an approximate cost and anyone who has actually done this mod with him?

Import duty is calculated on the value of the goods (at least in Cyprus) so as the headlights will not be bought from him we might save that cost .

Yeah I must agree tinted lights may look better on a lighter coloured car which is why I purchased a spare set of side repeaters and rear lights just incase. If they don't look any good I shall sell them.

Worth a try :-)

It certainly does worth it mate! If you decide to do the headlights as well post some pictures for us. I am interested in them even though I prefer to go clear with them as well. But it is so difficult to find a set and I am not so sure if I want to go with the aftermarket Halos.

Same Im not going to go with after market lights. I have read threads about headlights being a pain in the ass however there is a cheap an easy way to tint.

Just get some tint film and place over the orange lens part only. Im guessing this might look good on a black car as it will blend in with the bumper a little :-)

I saw it on a thread on this forum. Cant remember which one but it looked a very good alternative. Cheap and easy!

I haven't seen that option, i only saw either fully tinted headlight with film or spray tint the orange indicator (but you need to open the headlight for that  )
Might be something that worth's a try for a few pounds

Great job mate, they look amazing..however as i have halogen headlights i cannot justify the cost . postage and customs cost so much :headbang: I guess you went for express shipping as when i ordered my sidelights from US it took them 1 month to arrive. even 3 weeks without headlights seems a lot to me

No mate but you can use your existing one, it is an easy procedure. I found a how to somewhere , I have it on my pc in .pdf i think if you are interested let me know and i will find it for you

Those side indicators are pretty expensive - you can pick new ones up from eBay.de for around £30, including badges...

I was also looking at ebay.de for ~ 2 months before I bought mine and I saw only one auction with used side lights that ended at around 30-35 euros + postage so I decided to buy those from US. There are none at the moment however. You can look for :
bmw z4 seitenblinker

I doubt it that you will find any quickly.

I also found one website with sidelights that included badges but they were ~ 100 euros. I can't find that website at the moment.

As above - would need to trawl though my eBay history - not easy on an iPad - but it's where I got mine. They do come up, you just need keep looking. I'll check to see if I can find out who I got mine from....

:D yeah he doesn't have any in stock at the moment, but keep looking for "BMW z4 seitenblinker" ... You'll see a number of the ambers and occasionally a clear set.
