It's a matter of taste indeed, for me those "french fries" just look wrong. I prefer the larger surface look not being broken by that pastic thingy. Just don't understand what Chris Bangle was thinking...

i think it depends very much on the colour of the car. for me i think the red step in the light looks as odd as the silver line. on my claret car i dont think they look bad at all but then that could be cos they are red and blend in a bit more.

each to their own i guess its a bit like stubbies which are just plain wrong :poke:

i prefer the little french fries on tbh.

had to remove them off my old lights when i bought the clear ones. then i put them back on the clears as i think it breaks up the red nicely.
 
Once oyu have got rid of yours for a while you will see a z with them and think ughhh lol

I really dont like them now

Slow reaction. Arse end pic of non M car with M badge and it took at least half a dozen posts before the M Police arrived! The M badge Police are clearly not as fast as their cars apparently are these days!

Quad exhausts do look great though and I reckon BMW should have put these on all 3 litre Zeds or at the very least Alpinas aswell as Ms. I want a quad exhaust. :thumbsup:
 
Maybe I'm weird but I actually prefer the pre-facelift lights and bumpers front and rear but I do so want a quad exhaust.
 
What you may not know is that the french fry is a major support structure and takes the brunt of the impact from a rear end collision. It also activates the airbag system. :wink:
