Daytime Running Lights

Most cars (e.g. Mercedes, Audi, etc) only have front side lights on with daytime running lights activated, but I only noticed today that E89 also has the LED tail lights on. Am I correct? Or is it just my car? Thanks.

I'd have to check but only the older cars over here have just the fronts lit up, I think the euro cars drove us to have the rears lit up, it's much safer. Especially when you follow some idiot through a fog bank...

I think to be completely accurate when the DRL's are on, only the rear red lights come on, but not the number plate lights.

Correct. The number plate lights do not come on. I also think the brightness of LED tail lights is weaker in DRL mode.

But halo angel eyes are brighter on DRL than 'sides'.

Never use sides on mine, just off (DRL) or Auto.

Same here! If the headlights come on when the switch is in the Auto position, and its quite bright outside, I just revert back to DRL's.
