David Beckham

Just another embarrassment for English / British football this is shameful , iam not to bothered about winning or losing but i would definitely more likely to watch if Beckham was playing , This guy is a national hero and should be treated like one this would not have happened in any other country. Oh and also i would give vic one to .... :)

And I think his wife is still hot :D

Really?!? How is your guide dog? Bony talentless bint she is!

Harsh. Talentless, yes. Some like 'em chunky, some like 'em curvy, but slim and petite does it for me, what can I say :idunno:

Digressing slightly, but as this is a football thread - has anyone read this today:

It seems that some people can't help themselves.... and at a time where players seem intent on dragging the game to the lowest depths imaginable, surely David Beckham could be a good role model to try to restore some kind of faith in football? Especially given that so many kids look up to these guys...

So you would rather have a team full of over the hill players who are celebs than a team that could actually win :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Seem to remember last season that arguably the best club manager of modern times (and I'm not a Man U supporter) regularly used Giggs as a substitute when games were going badly and drafted in Scholes from retirement. Italy's best player in the Euros was Del Piero.... with age comes experience.

Yep,but those players mention are playing in leagues of a far higher standard than the american one !

metal licker its the olympics not the world cup slight differance ,plus iam sure you have to have a certain number of players over a certain age i might be wrong there but he would def fit the bill .Ok i agree with you , hes passed his best but what a fitting way to end his career on.He would put bums on seats that's for sure. And lets be reel about things here we are not good another to win any way.

I know what your saying mate and i have no problem with Becks the man, he's pulled England out of the crap so many times and been a good advert for the sport
Just think we should be focusing on the best players around now rather former greats :)
