Dashboard lights

Driving along the M4 today, after about half an hour i glanced at my speedo, and noticed the milage display was very dim, could hardly see anything! I went to adjust the brightness thinking I might have pressed something but it corrected itself before my hand got to the switch. How long it was dim for I have no idea! Anyone ever come across this before?

yeah, seen it once or twice- seems to be sort of re-set thing going on

One of those things, it will happen again, done it on all three of my BMW's at some point or other.

same happens to me occasionally - weird that the lights seem to brighten up just as I look at em!
