I went for black alcantara.
I do like the Alcantara! I asked Jono about fitment around the radio; did you have any difficulties?

No difficulties at all, there was a nice gap round the radio and vents, which now looks a lot neater.

So I have my dash and cental console wrapped in carbon vinyl.

I really like the look of it all etc but after about 6 months (on the big bits, I've done a few smaller bits since). It's starting to peel. I'm very reluctant to to do the whole thing again, but I might have to. Perhaps I need to spend more on the wrap! Didn't go for 3M stuff.

However at the suggestion of a fellow zeder I met today, how do you feel about leather! There's a lot of choices on this sellers ebay!

I might try it.

I'm doing mine in a 3M brushed titanium wrap. Old/New:

That’s a pretty subtle change. Would love to see the finished job.

Yes, in the car, it's not that noticeable, but I didn't want to deviate too much from original. My current console trim is a little scratched up so I got a set and will do the changeover.

So I tried a new style of carbon for a wrap today, It's called 'forged carbon'. Not finished, but I thought I'd do the main dash panel first.
Let me know your thoughts...

I like the real forged carbon fiber but that imitation wrap just doesn't look good. Just my opinion though.

Not for me I’m afraid looks to false but could just be the photo and may look different in the flesh

I think forged carbon looks better on smaller pieces personally. I had a forged carbon set of Campagnolo crank arms and they looked great. On bigger pieces it looks a bit like camouflage to me.

Nice to see something different. It’s an interesting pattern. I was looking at the 3M-1080 textured vinyls the other night and they have one called Shadow Black which is similar, but perhaps more camo-ish. I quite like their Matrix finish, a sort of fine honeycomb finish (see below).

Yes, just wanted to have a look at something a little different. It does look good in the flesh. Here's a promo shot.
