Dash lift up lid

My Z4 hasn’t got Sat Nav, not a big problem but I’d like to better use the dash top box that’s only useful to put your sunglasses in! I tried to take it out today but couldn’t work out how to remove the grill panel beneath it to get to the screws that hold it in. Has anyone made a replacement for this lift up lid that could hold an off the shelf Tom Tom or similar Sat Nav

It doesn't have a lift up lid on the dash unless someone's taken out the sat nav and replaced it with the dash top box from an X3. The vent is a real pain to do , but if you look on the web there's videos of how to do it. It takes me about 5-10 mins to do mine still and I have done it a few times now.

Hi the op has an e89 & they do have a dash top box when not specced with nav

My E87 had the same - I just used it for sunglasses and/or Garmin. :roll:
