Dash creaks resolved!

My e89 had been making quite a few creaking noises from the heater control area of the dash. I didn't really notice it when I bought it a year ago, but I think after noticing it the first time my ears have become tuned it. Now I hear every little creak/squeak!

Decided to tackle it with the sticky felt I had left over from doing the same to the roof.

less than 1.5 hours later its completely creak free!

I tried to cover all the areas where two plastic parts met with a small amount of the felt.
I think the key area was around the heater controls.

Well done, interestingly I got obsessed with a creak from around the main light switch area, I hit it with tape, foam, etc...nothing seemed to last...then I had the windscreen replaced by a top notch auto glass fitter, due to a crack, and no more squeaks since then...

Wow you didn't hold back! I bet it must feel very satisfying though!

I keep telling telling myself the creaks are character...

It's much easier than it looks, I doubt I removed more than 10 screws.

And you're right, its a very satisfying feeling! The creaking noises bugged me way more than they should have.

Slight update to this...

After resolving the loudest creaks, a number of smaller rattles/noises became evident.
I spent the best part of yesterday disassembling the remainder of the interior to cover all touching parts in felt.

This included;
A pillars/top of windscreen
Door cards
Roof lining
Roll hoops
Parcel shelf
plastic behind seats

Shes more like a Maybach than Z4 now
