Dash cleaning?

I use meguiars vinyl cleaner, my dash was a bit dry originally, after a good coating of the meguiars and rubbing it in with micro fibre cloth it made a massive difference, its now a lot softer and nicer to touch, and it won't rip my cloth to prices lol.
Oh perhaps that's my problem then? Next clean I'll give it a thorough soaking with my Poorboys Natural Look and see it it gets any softer. It's not supposed to be soft like on the door armrests though, right?

Poorboys smells so good by the way - i think it smells of marzipan....

Might have to look into this poor boys stuff. Dash will never be as soft as the doors but with a good thick application of product you can get rid of the dryness in the dash and make it look good again.

Resurrecting this very old thread. Not interested in ways to clean the dash trim (that easy), but the grey/black textured main dashboard - top and around the HVAC controls.

Any tips on getting it clean without destroying whatever fabric you’re using to do the job? Its a nightmare to try and de-dull and feel refreshed.

Do you mean the aluminium part of the dash, if so I asked about cleaning this and was told to use soapy water. Made no difference

Not the alu/piano etc bits. The main bulk, black grey textured plastic that make up 90% of the dash.

The water only micro fibre cloths work well, I nicked some from the kitchen and "forgot" to put them back ...

Do you have a link to anything suitable?

They are called e-cloth

I can’t believe I had to ask my wife something about detailing products :o

I use AutoGlym vinyl cleaner. Easy to use and leaves a nice finish

Another one for AG, if you apply and then remove you get an eggshell finish, but if you want a shiny finish leave on a little longer.
