Dash cleaner?

Just dirt, will be easy enough to clean off, but don't want something that will make it look 'patchy' like some cleaners can do, and then need constant reapplication.
 
I haqve used the bmw cleaner that comes in their kit... but I have also heard a simple damp microfibre is supposed to work pretty well too.

Yeah, move to England... we don't have any of that UV or sunshine nonsense, just crappy dull weather!

hehe, sorry... I'm not sure what products are UV protectants, i'd imagine the meguiars or poorboys products may have UV protecting properties but I am not sure. The official BMW stuff makes no reference to it.
 
This stuff looks ok, but I am not sure if it will maintain the matt look on the dash, the BMW stuff does that wel at least.

I wouldn't use a microfiber towel. Our Z4's have this basketball-like dash material that grabs any and all nap. Wanna nightmare? Use a moist paper/kitchen towel to wipe the dash, then come back after 20 minutes or so and have a look at your artwork. I recommend using a microfiber towel designed for glass wiping. Walmart sells them. Also, surgical towels or OR towels have virtually no nap and thus will leave none or extremely small amounts.
 
Good point there Ducks... I have several microfibres and the one I use on the dash is a very smooth one, my other fluffy ones would be a nightmare, yes...
 
Used to use 303Aerospace, however, I have found that Klasse vinyl & leather cleaner lasts far longer. Both have UV protectants. I use a foam applicator; removes the dust, no residue, no application to the windshield, and washes easily with soap & water.
