On my black Vue camera the acc wire needs to be wired into an ignition live and the battery wire into a permanent live otherwise it won't go into parking mode, I used the cigarette fuse for that but can't remember what ignition live I used,
Make sure you use good quality piggy back connectors, put a low amp fuse such as 3 or 5 for the camera, and use a multimetre to confirm which side is the 12 volt supply and ground other wise you could wire it up so the camera is wired to the 20amp cigarette fuse rather than been on its own fuse.
