From recommended dash cam placement I'm seeing fuse 08/ 77 are 20a/30a

What do you use when the kit provided is less amperage? One I got from vantrue was 5amp

The 20 and 30 amp fuse from the board goes in the empty pins on the piggyback fuse, and replace the 5 amp fuse with the recommended size for the dash cam.

Ahh ok, So its just a passthough for whatever that fuse slot is meant for?

Yes, the piggyback fuse simply taps into the fuse holder in the fuse box, just be aware that the piggyback fuse has to face the correct way, live on the fuse box to the pin on the piggyback farthest from the cable end, so power flows through the fuse to the dash cam, hope that makes sense ๐Ÿ˜

Makes complete sense thank you. Is there a screw I should be grounding to nearby the fusebox? All search comes up with are e85/86 ground locations

I canโ€™t remember where I grounded mine but thereโ€™s definitely a few locations there once the fuse box is dropped down.
