Darn cowl panel!

I realize the windscreen garage managed to snap a few mounts on my cowl cover.

Has anybody managed to glue these mounts (etc.) or is it off the BMW for an expensive new part?

Was in the same situation recently, and as mine was also brittle along the upper plastic that meets the windscreen it was replacement time.

Paid 136 euro for mine, part number #51717017022, ordered from www.partacus.de but you may find it equally "cheap" at a dealer, once shipping is factored in.

If the mounts have just pulled off the backing then they can be easily glued back on. I was told by autoscreens they break off all the time.

If the stud itself is snapped I doubt you can buy individuals from BMW, but worth a try or even similar from Ebay and save the price of a whole panel

Had a similar problem myself, I glued them back on, one was OK, the other came free again

I'll give it a shot of glue, otherwise I'll get a new one if it breaks
