"Dark" Wheels On A Black Car

Hi, i'm not a fan of black wheels on black cars... my personal opinion is that if you are putting black wheels on a car, the car must be a lighter shade than the wheels... (each to their own), however i am toying with the idea of getting my wheels repainted in a light gun metal grey... does anyone here on the forum have any pics of different shades of color wheels on a black car, other than the standard silver and full black, thanks in advance for your help ;)

Ha, thanks Tom, i was just fantasising over your car literally 5 mins before posting the original thread... silver grey is my favourite color in the Z4... do you have any close up pics of the wheels, cheers...

Here you go - my anthracite winter boots

Is there such thing as something similar to Tom's color but in a matt finish... i think that might suit a black car...

The only thing with matt is that is looks pretty flat compared to gloss. I think hyper silver looks awesome on a black car, I would want some contrast not too keen on black on black, even if it was a lighter shade like gunmetal. Think OEM silver CSLs look awesome on black cars. Think I would still go shadow chrome on a black car then it gives you best of both worlds.

I cant find a decent pics of shadow chrome on a black car but here is the finish

No its just the colour temperature in the pics they are chrome, obviously the parts that dont get as much light turn a very dark colour.

Here is Dubsesd's car.

These are hyper graphite similar to shadow chrome. If you see the way they catch the light, but the rest is quite dark. They change with the light.

This link gives you an idea for anthracite. You can start a new search from the homepage to see other styles and colors on your car.
