Damn Truck Drivers!

I was going around a tight left hand bend earlier today, a truck coming in the other direction decided to cut the corner into my lane, my natural instinct was to pull left to avoid a collision (there must have been only centimetres between us, and yes I think I did close my eyes anticipating a "bang"!), but as a result I hit the kerb and scraped my alloy - I'm so angry! :headbang:

I guess it is better than having collided and damaging the bodywork but these arrogant truck drivers really get to me!

Sorry, just needed somewhere to vent my frustration!

On that note, I do have a few scratches on some of the other alloys, anyone know where to get these refurbished and how much it may cost? I'm in the Farnborough, Hampshire area so anywhere perhaps in the surrounding areas?

Thanks.....

I'm also in Hampshire. I had my M5 wheels done at Micheldever Tyres and I was not overly impressed with the quality or longevity of the results, so please take this as a dis-recommendation.

Ouch! At least it's only a wheel scrape and could have been a lot worse so thank your lucky stars...
Reminds me of a Polish lorry driver who hit me coming round a corner.
Even though I had comp. insurance becuase of his false documents/Dodgy plates and nationality, the insurance wouldn't pay out so I had to get the damage sorted myself.
£5700 later the car was fixed but not my opinion of some foreign lorry drivers. :headbang:

Nightmare, really hate it when things like this happen :headbang:

Hopefully the damage isnt too bad, and the wheel will be back to tip top condition soon

I was coming onto an island last week when a lorry and trailer didn't give way, I was to his right, he looked at me and kept coming, as a result as he swung left his trailer hit my Alpina's bumper and cut into it leaving a flap, like an opened bean tin, I pulled up to have a look but he didn't, as a result I didn't get his number :headbang:

After all these nightmare stories I feel I got away lightly! Sorry to hear chaps, I guess this is the price we pay for driving a Zed...

Not good; I've had mates chase lorry drivers after a prang like that and they've just kept going totally oblivious to the fact they've just ripped off someones wing mirror.
I guess that's going to be an annoying and expensive repair to your bumper... :x

That's a lovely looking Alpina...except for the go-faster stripes on the bumper

It's a very simple mod, just have to let a lorry pull out on you and let his trailer do the work :)

Firstly I have to say that i'm in no way defending this guy. I also drive a really large horse box based on a 32 ton ridged lorry. I have to say that the amount of moronic things car drives have done to me far out ways the other way round. They try to bet you down slip roads when you're already on the motorway and then remove the back of there car when they don't quite make it, or i have to flip the horses upside down trying to brake to avoid them. Have to say this happens probably 1 in 3 times i go on the motorway with it.

there's no contest between lorry and car.

One nearly killed me and my girlfriend on the way to south of France a couple of weeks ago: Dual lane motorway moved into 3 lanes and he just veered off into the second lane overtaking a lorry in front of him... as I was just coming on his side! no signal nothing. There was a car into my outside lane and I was to far on the lorries side to brake. Heard my girlfriend say oh my god as and put her hands on her face as I went down to 4th (from 160 km/hr) and it hit the gas pedal to the metal.

I think that S54 saved both our lives.

Late friday night spanish plates lorry. Tipical, sadly.
