yep it appears the roof bug has affected me on my 2004 3.0. The roof's solidoids detach when closed but the roof does not fold back. Have had the hard top on for the last 3 months and when i came to remove it the canvas roof would not close. had to help it manually. Does anyone think this is hydraulics or the motor ?? have pulled out the red hook in the boot and tried that but nothing appears to help.

I better start saving those beer tokens to pay for a new motor :thumbsdown:
 
Sorry to hear that mate. Could you not try and get it to an independent?

I know its no solace, but hopefully if mine packs up on the 2003 then the AUC should cover it.
 
The hardtop instruction book says its not uncommon for the roof to need some 'assistance' after its been folded for a while....... :)
